Only sold/cooked alive. • Female- Bottom has a more rounded flap, known for its orange fats (aligue) and eggs (roe). Sizes range at 300g-800g • Male- Bottom has a “V” flap. Without eggs, leaving more space for full meat. Sizes range at 300g-1.5kg; 2kg in some rare cases. • Bakla- Juvenile crabs on its transition to being a female crab; distinct for its yellow-orange eggs (roe), lesser fats(aligue) so lesser cholesterol also compared to female.
